The last weeks my challenge has been to take each moment afresh, to look with 'child eyes'; to ask myself, am I caught up in an automatic thought, feeling or action?

When I tune into the Diving Deeper retreat, I'm aware of how much its structure and process is such an encouragement to open my 'child's eyes'.

It is called 'a writing retreat', but as those of you who did retreat earlier this year know, it is not about writing - or perhaps a better way to put it is that it is not only about writing.

It is completely about being present, about letting yourself take a leap into places you have hidden from yourself and from others, about sharing the joy of your being with others.

The Diving Deeper writing process is akin to the conscious breathing in Eckhart Tolle's A New Earth. Each totally conscious breath takes you deeper into the moment, allowing the spaces between thoughts to become longer and longer.

When you drop into *this* place of complete presence, then life simply unfolds.
The beauty of writing as the moment unfolds - writing in the spaces between the thoughts - is that you are not only dropping into Being, but that Being flowers into stories of remarkable beauty and honesty, revealing aspects of your self and life perhaps you had no idea existed.

As you share these stories with others, we are all enriched.

Writing in this way, like any other 'art' (painting, music) is creatively manifested expression of Presence.

As we breathe, we create life, as we write, we create art.

Planet Meditation
Since late December of last year I have made a weekly date with our planet, to sit with her in meditation. Others join me, and my sense is that there is a powerful possibility if we sit together like this.

I don't know what our Planet (or my own body-planet) needs or how it 'should' or shouldn't be. I just lie or sit and be as total with my body / being as I can, bringing full awareness into all the parts and the whole; feeling what comes up. Doing nothing, just being with.

If you would like to join me, here are the details:

Every Sunday:
Berlin: 9 pm
London : 8 pm
New York: 3 pm
Vancouver: 12 noon
Sydney: 7 am
