Workshops:

Diving Deeper - a writing retreat
An invitation to spend time with yourself, totally and selfishly. It is an invitation to give your creative energy – your life energy – complete attention. It is an invitation to go where you have not dared to go before. See Latest for this year's schedule. If you would like to organise one in your area, please let me know.

The Art of Listening - with David Crean

This workshop focuses on developing our listening skills. We listen not only with our ears but also with our whole bodies. It is an active and highly sensitive process. We receive non-verbal messages in every moment – from outside and from within ourselves. Do we hear them? What are they telling us?

During the workshop you will participate in exercises that support you to listen and perceive with your whole being. Working with your voice, your body, and how you present yourself to the world, you will be encouraged to discover your core being. You will have the opportunity to develop your intuitive senses and experience a deeper connection to yourself and others. Through this process your natural authenticity and passion is given voice.

We have been discovering and expanding our own listening skills as a life long pursuit, both individually and in our relationship together. For more information on David and the workshop schedule please see www.bodyresonance.org.

Guided Sound Meditations

Workshops around the world:

I am inspired and led to the use of sound by the toning of Paul Lowe (www.paullowe.org), and particularly by the Harmonic Chant of David Hykes (www.harmonicworld.com).

I often call the sound meditation a 'listening meditation'. Although I produce sounds, the emphasis is on deep listening - an expanded state of awareness which I experience as no separation between myself and what I hear; no separation between myself and what 'is'.

This falling into sound is, in my experience, a state in which all kinds of things arise, but most of all I have an feeling of total 'inclusion', ease, timelessness and beauty, as if everything settles into place, and the present moment is somehow stretched out and deepened. In this space, nothing is lacking.

Personal Guidance

I offer personal guidance via email and in person. Via email I am available for interaction with people from all over the world, without restriction to set appointment times. I have a passion for written communication as it can bring to light our thought patterns and ideas in a very precise way.

How can we all be more loving of each other and ourselves? How can we live more fulfilling lives? I believe understanding is inherent. We come into this life 'knowing' everything we need to know in order to be who we are in the most expanded sense, and yet this knowing is often unconscious. In our lives we have the opportunity to choose situations and people who help us to uncover that knowing, bringing it to consciousness. The more we interact, the greater the uncovering. If we interact with others in an intimate, vulnerable way, we are saying "yes" to support, "yes" to being our full selves.

Whenever I write or tell someone what is going on for myself, I become more vulnerable, more open, and more available. It's a risk I take, a leap into the void - a void rich with possibility.

In my email interactions with you I offer you an opportunity take that leap. I will encourage you to take a look at the thought processes and patterns of belief that may not be supporting you anymore.

I offer you my encouragement to see that every experience you have can support your expansion. I offer you my support to discover for yourself that Self which exists underneath the defense systems which keep you from a truly joyful, direct experience of who you are.

A bit about my life….

Sandra Jensen
I believe I'm here to experience life in all its aspects, each aspect to its fullest. I almost feel I have no choice. The universe presents a situation to me and I walk into it as if pulled by a magnet. Some experiences stir up uncomfortable feelings or even extreme emotional pain. Other experiences are incredibly joyful. The choices I make that trigger pain might seem like 'mistakes' to some people, but I view them as gifts that stretch my being into areas I might never have explored had I not made the 'mistake' in the first place.

From an early age I was encouraged to be self-motivating, to experiment with what life had to offer. When I was thirteen I decided not to go to school anymore. I had already been to a number of schools and enjoyed none of them, so I taught myself. I went on to take a degree in Ancient Greek at university.

I've had many relationships, including one 'open' marriage, and another, very co-dependent marriage. The ending of this second marriage was a turning point in my life. It opened me out to suppressed grief about my father's death in a family car accident when I was seven; it brought up many deep fears I had not acknowledged. From this moment I began to really take a look at my life. I'm currently in the eleventh year of a beautiful, supportive relationship.

I've traveled to many countries of the world, and lived in several. I've been very poor, and also earned a great deal of money. The jobs I've done are numerous and full of variety – I have taught martial arts and developed websites; I was a health consultant for many years; I've worked with many of the creative arts: I taught weaving in Ireland as a teenager; I have held several exhibitions of my photographs; I've acted in theatre and performed on stage as a mime; I have written poetry, short stories, plays and travelogues.

My journey to Self has taken me deep into addiction – I had bulimia nervosa, which started when I was at university and continued into my late twenties. I have also explored all kinds of health and spiritual modalities. I lived on raw foods for a year; I dabbled with astrology and numerology, I learned various forms of meditation, I've studied Tai Chi and Chi Kung. I worked with energy healers and spirit mediums; I've been in Past Life Therapy and done Holotropic Breathwork and Enlightenment Intensives. I'm particularly grateful for my time with Paul Lowe (www.paullowe.org)and the Byron Katie 'Work' (www.thework.com) Both these individuals have encouraged me to live my life to the fullest and with total responsibility. More recently I have been studying with David Hykes, who offers his Harmonic Chant worldwide. I believe his work is extraordinary, a gift I'm continuing to discover and open. (www.harmonicpresence.org)

I chose some of these experiences to find a way out of being here on earth – I thought that my true home was somewhere 'up there' in the ether. I didn't want to feel. And yet I was continually presented with opportunities to be more connected to my body – opportunities to do the very thing I was avoiding – experience my feelings. As I delve deeper into these feelings, experimenting with taking responsibility for them to the fullest degree, my life becomes more fulfilling, more enjoyable - unfolding into new possibilities and greater depths of experience and understanding.

solitary maidenA bit about this website...

I designed this website using imagery from India and Tibet, particularly the Mughal miniatures which are a blend of Indian, Persian and Islamic styles that flourished in India during the reign of the Mughal emperors from the 16th to 18th centuries.

My reasons for using these images are purely aesthetic. I love the richness of colour and detail, and the extensive representation of the human condition - in all its earthly and otherwordly aspects.
